Thank you all for the warm welcome!
To my fellow Missourians, I'm in Fulton, Kingdom of Callaway, about 7 miles south of I-70 center. Yes, you do need shots and a passport to enter the Kingdom!!
And to tripleblessed, I am fully aware of the no photo it didn't happen rule. I have several knitting projects on Ravelry.com that don't have photos yet, and it really, REALLY bugs me! They don't seem quite real yet....
When I get to my MIL's house to lay out the fabric for my husband's x-kilt, I will take photos!

Hi, ScotInMyHeart, and welcome to X Marks from the bottom end of Africa.
While I have not visited Scotland (or anywhere else outside Southern Africa) it is a land of unending fascination to me.
I recall a poster I once saw at a Caledonian society stand (it showed heather-covered hill country) which simply stated: “Scotland is a state of mind.”
Regards,
Mike

Welcome from the highlands of Central Massachusetts. I too want to knit kilt hose one day. I am proceeding with caution. When I do it I will do it with good advice from the experienced knitters here.
