Spruce Beer?

I have had one, called Alba Pine Ale, and I liked it. I will say this, the spruce/pine flavor was very strong. I can see that it might be an acquired taste, being a very foreign concept to the current brewing method of using hops, but I thought it was quite nice.

Ha! That was the brew I was going to mention! I thought it was pretty good as well. Kinda kicked myself for only buying one bottle.

One of the Alaskan brewing companies does a winter ale with spruce...the flavor is very strong, it's "spruce" like the "hops" taste of a strong IPA.
