I don't have any unsalted butter...
Nevermind...answered my own question...I just cut the salt down a bit and used salted butter. I made a batch. They are very whisky-like and more cake-like than brownie in my opinion. I think I'll probably make another batch with some revisions...
1. more chocolate (perhaps some cocoa powder as well)
2. 2 eggs vs. 3 eggs
3. some vegetable oil...all brownie mixes require vegetable oil...I think this is what makes them denser than cake, right?
4. A tad less whisky...I like whisky, don't get me wrong...but it's almost overpowering (more whisky than chocolate).
