I know Gloucestershire well and have family and business connections there, I also know of several Iles in the county. Not a common name though, so I wonder do you know whereabouts in Gloucestershire your Dad's side came from. At a guess, how about the Dursley(between Gloucester and Bristol) area? And another guess, would there be a Quaker connection? I hope you don't think I am being nosy, but I am interested.

Congratulations on your wedding and thank you for sharing the pictures. The stained glass behind the kilted lads is very dramatic!

Thanks guys! The stained glass picture is one of my favorites as well, can't wait to blow up/make bigger a few of them. The picture was taken in a small side chaple connected to the church. I would've loved to have had the actual ceremony in there but the seating limit was only around 80, while we had around 150 guests inside the main church service area. It did provide for some great photos though! The church is located here in north Kansas City just outside of Gladstone, Missori.

At Jock...we still have some distant family members in that area, or so I'm told. Sadly, the members we have kept in close contact with now reside in the London area. Would the company you deal with happen to be called "Iles & Co"? I will see my father over the holidays and ask about Dursley, I always like to find out more info about the family too!

Sorry I have still not worked out how to quote sections from a post.

No I don't deal with "Iles & Co." but there are a few "Iles" living around the area that I have "interests" in Gloucestershire.

Congratulations on your wedding, Nigel, and may you have many happy years together.
That was a fine kilted turnout by the men (and at least one boy), and I liked the touch of Royal Stewart on your mom as well.
    Regards,
