Why thank you, Terry! I will keep that in mind if I need to start a new project. ;)
I should add that I'm thrilled Arlen's catching the knitting bug, finally. It's great to have another hobby to share.
The fear o' hell's the hangman's whip To laud the wretch in order; But where ye feel your honor grip, Let that aye be your border. - Robert Burns

Darn it, when I saw the thread topic I thought that I would just have to beg she that must be obeyed for one thing, now that those hose have made an appearance, I am going to be on a begging spree
Arlen or Unaspenser, would it be possible to advise what colour blue those hose are. They are of the most manificent blue I have seen for many a year.

Those look to be the Trellis top hose from the Grampian line made by the House of Cheviot. We did carry them on our web site as a special order item. Unfortunately, the House of Cheviot is not making that particular style any longer, so we've removed them from the site.
We still offer similar "fancy top" hose from House of Cheviot, here:

More on topic, the garters look great, Arlen! And nothing beats being able to get just the color you want by doing it yourself.

I'm not sure of the exact colourline but I'll be sure to ask Diane when she gets home and let you know.
Matt, you're absolutely right. It's so nice to be able to match or contrast however much I like.
Terry, I'll pm you some other links.
