    I agree with Peter, the kilt definitely seems to be hemmed. And I take back what I said about having an outfit near identical to that in our museum collection. I didn't realize the outfit in the photo was made from a houndstooth/shepherd's check cloth. The one we have is solid grey/brown, with the selvage stripe in a darker brown.
