Downunder Kilt, yes I'm in toowoomba. Lots of lives lost, and huge property damage. Five out of sixteen team members have lost their cars, and one of those who lost her car also lost her house (it's been demolished). Another whose six month old car was destroyed yesterday now has water through her house in brisbane too.

The whole place is a mess - Australia can really use your prayers and thoughts at this time!
I'd have to look his new addy up...I sent him an e-mail earlier this evening, so hopefully he'll respond by tomorrow. He's the Secretary of Services Memorial Lodge in Toowoomba.

The news in Japan is also covering it pretty well. My mate in Brisbane, his backyard got flooded yesterday and hopefully that will be the end of it for him. Here is to hoping.

Do you know where in QLD?

Our state is about the same size as Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Alabama, Arkansas, Missouri and Mississippi all combined.......we're not a little place!

Yes we are watching it all unfold on the news and have been since Christmas. What can one say? Words really cannot describe how we feel for you all. Events like these remind us that nature at its worst really does make us humans look pretty insignificant. Good luck to you all and take care.

We've been seeing it but since I live in greater Washington DC I tend to ignore the news (DC is too full of itself and the local does not do a good job of covering the world). Now that I'm paying attention this is just awful.

I hope you and yours are taking care as best you can. Best to all.

I don't have TV but the other news are covering it pretty well here. Thanks for your pictures. My thoughts go out to all the people dealing with the flooding.

The flooding has been receiving dramatic TV coverage here in Canada since it started. We're all thinking of you. May the floods roll back soon and never come again.
