A "kilt night" is when a group of XMarkers (or others interested in kilts) gather together, typically at a pub or restuarant, for congenial conversation and pleasantries. They are frequently publicized on XMarks, and their existence proven after the fact by posted photographs, identifying the participants. This goes to the motto "if there are no photos, it did not exist". I believe a kilt night is being organized in the Victoria area to coincide with the visit of Alex Cunningham (Cessna152towser) in March 2011. Alex lives in Scotland, but periodically visits our fair shores since he has relatives in this area.

Hi, Dan, and welcome to X Marks from the bottom end of Africa.
There is a Watson family that is well known in my town of Port Elizabeth. The leader at the moment is Dan “Cheeky” Watson, who is president of the Eastern Province Rugby Union.
