Hi, Dub, and welcome to X Marks from the bottom end of Africa.
A fair bit of my ancestry is Afrikaner, and while there are quite a lot of Germans and French in that mix, I do have ancestors who came from Amsterdam (quite a few) and at least one from Den Haag.
My wife is of Irish descent, although not from the south.

wow there's a Dutch Friendship tartan....do tell. That would make a good conversation point here in The Netherlands.
