Wow - fantastic colors. Looks just like the maples in our woods in the fall!

Just a quick note for the potential kiltmakers out there. I know that Steve would alert you to this, but remember that the Maple Leaf is one of the rare asymmetric tartans. Even if you put a hem in the kilt, it's better to have a single width piece 8 yards long. Steve - will you be selling single width splits, or only double width pieces?

This fabric will be sold in single width splits.

Now the bad news. Two mistakes were made in the weaving of this bolt.

The first is that the fabric was woven with a fringe selvedege.

The second is that the green is more like the current versions of Maple Leaf and not in the brighter green I requested. So it is more similar to the dark green/brown that everyone is used to.

And as with all P/V fabrics the colors are vivid. More so than with wool that is capable of producing subtle tones where the colors mix.

We should have this kilt done early this week so we can show some pics of a kilt.

Look forward to seeing the finished kilt. Hemming the PV is not a big problem for those who have not done it before. Is the $24 per yard for single or double?
