The wife said "yes" to the off-white Jacobite style shirt -- but "NO" to the fedora . I'll have pics (not that they're much different than my other pics) as soon as I get the camera downloaded.

Here's a shot of my SECOND day kilted at (or rather on the way to) work.

And here are a couple of the THIRD day - this time wearing my new (to me) SWK Leatherneck kilt.

It's kind of hard to see, but I'm wearing loafers since my left foot won't fit into anything else I own ... nobody at work noticed or commented.

Still using the crutches to get around but my leg is doing much better...

Thanks. It's a pretty danged nice (and comfortable) kilt. I wore it again today for my visit to the physical therapist. Everyone there loved it.

Rob: Beautiful kilt and colors - love the flashes. Another Kathy Lare stunner. I'm sorry to read about your accident. I hope you heal up quickly.

Since you work at a facility where cameras are not allowed, I can only conclude that you work at TDs. ;-) Or, maybe Sandia?

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Sandia - inside the Tech Area.

I made a big splash with the kilt-wearing. Even had a couple of the managers comment "Maybe we should have a kilt-day..." Made my day!

Rob: Maybe Sandia management would at least tolerate/encourage the observance of Tartan Day. I might even show up for that. But, I would have to march around outside the fence. I no longer have a clearance/badge. :-)

I would have had at least one of my UKs with me when I went down there, but I knew they'd be forbidden for safety reasons at NMT-EMRTC in Socorro. (required closed toe shoes, completely covered legs, eye protection, and some type of hat (they provide students with hats at the pro shop)

I suppose that wouldn't be too different than what I wore last Halloween, when I dressed up as my avatar. Wore red sweatpants under my green original.
