    Looks like a mix of Hoplite and Roman gladius, but too new for either. If you can identify the nature of the wood, likely would point you in the direction of the origin.

    Oh, and if it obviously doesn't belong to whomever the wood associates with, check trade routes...
    A pitchfork is a polearm too!
