My maternal grandparents retired to Largo in the 60's, they were from Edinburgh (moved to Detroit, MI area, retired to Florida).
I recall there being quite a strong Scottish-American population there. Was told by my grandmother that one had to be at least 1/4 Scot to play the pipes in the high school band back then.
