Bob has a wide range of sporrans but wears only a few of them. The jewel in the collection is his Thorfinn with interchangeable flaps.

Then there's the rest of the pack.

From top left: black rabbit fur with gold-tone cantle (this remains Bob's dress sporran as it coordinates with the gold-tone buttons on his dress jacket); bovine purchased from another XMarker (never worn by Bob, but he may need it some day if plans that I have brewing ever pop); black nylon Stillwater cargo; camo quasi-sporran (acquired in some deal that I was not part of); black leather daywear needing snap repair; the infamous $25 brown leather MoD-style; Rob Roy style (a freebie from a gift exchange-type activity on another kilt forum); center, brown leather Stillwater cargo.

Really ought to pass some of these along, just haven't gotten around to it.

BTW I think there is an older thread along these same lines but it's probably locked by now. I seem to recall one photo of a staircase full of sporri!

    Sporri... Love it!

I also love those Thorfinn interchangeable flaps. A sporran for all occasions. Fantastic idea.

    Here is our humble collection:

Buzz Kidder Inverness. Holds all I need and then some. My "All Day" sporran.

Stillwater Brown Fur Semi-Dress. Good with and without tassels for holding a small amount of items.

Stillwater Grey Semi-Dress. Same as the brown. One of my favorites to add just a bit of flash.

Buzz Kidder Pleated. This was my favorite until my wife claimed it as her own. She also uses this as a handbag sometimes when she isn't kilted.

Stillwater Youth. My son's favorite. Just enough room for his wallet and phone without letting them rattle around.

Target Ladies Handbag. My wife likes it for a small sporran when isn't stealing one of my bigger ones.

    Same as above, different color.

    Here's my Freelander #4

    And Freelander #5

My L&M custom beaverskin (what ever you do don't start playing with the L&M design your own sporran thingie unless you really wanna buy a sporran)

Here's a Shoshone pouch adapted for a sporran. Bought it on the Northern Kaibab-Paiute reservation.

And, my beloved hair on buffalo custom sporran from Miss April's Carpetbags

And, a Nativearthcraft #6 pouch adapted as a large sporran for hiking etc.

Still, wear my Stillwater leather Nightstalker sporran most of the time. Love the convenience of the zippers and one hand operation.

Still, must rant about all the sporran vendors who neglect to post the SIZE of the sporrans they offer for sale. Let the buyer beware.

I'm pretty happy with my sporran collection now, but I'm sure it will grow in the future. :-) To be honest, I have more than I need, but being "in the business" it's hard not to take advantage of being around some fine sporran makers and having access to their work. Most of my sporrans were made for me by Ferguson Brirt.

My latest is one that does not appear on the web site yet, called a Tulloch Mor. This one is black leather with beaver fur.

I also have a couple of old MoD brass cantles which Ferguson Britt has added new bags onto.

I also have this one made from a vintage brass cantle paired with a new Ferguson Britt bag.

Then there is my bobcat fur Inverlochy sporran which I love.

I especially like how this one has such a nice, wide opening.

This is a Duin Uasail Mor made from sheepskin, with some brass stud decoration on the cantle.

You can see I have a preference for the round-cantle, top opening style sporrans, but I did have Ferguson Britt make me a military-inspired simple daywear sporran he calls the "Glen Lean."

This one has a divided interior pocket.

How many here have a Harris Tweed sporran? I had this one custom made by L&M to match my Harris Tweed kilt ensemble.

Then as far as hair sporrans go, I have this odd single-tassel one, with an ultra large pouch, which I found second-hand ages ago.

The one thing I wouldn't mind having that I don't is a mask sporran, preferably badger. I kind of an holding out for a nice vintage one, though, if I can find one at a price I can justify. :-)

I love sporrans. They are an art and some of those produced by our membership here are absolutely incredible.

I can't get to the "full mask" level though. Sorry!! I really couldn't wear one even if it was given to me...

    Here's my 3

Top. £15.99 ebay. Cowhide. Not bad quality for price. Not a lot of room in bag but will only use it for more formal use, Clan dinner etc..

Bottom left. Lidl - last day of sale, forgot price but think it was about £14.00
Suprisingly good quality leather and roomy. I use this most of the time.

Bottom Right. ebay. £24.00. Cowhide. For a bit more dressy informal evening use. Not used it much though.

I am looking for something that will hold more for use during the day while on holiday. Needs to hold wallet, car/caravan keys, tobacco tin, reading glasses, handkerchief.

There are a few in this thread I like the look of.
