Great look. Looks like you had a great day for a hike too. I'm interested in the shirt too. That looks very nice.

This was the find of the century. I found four 5.11 Tactical shirts at a thrift store. Black and Tan. Both long and short sleeve. Three of them were in almost new condition the black short sleeve had some use but still plenty of life left in it. These shirts list on the 5.11 website for $54.99 EACH. These are as rugged and tough a shirt as I have ever seen. Heavy material reinforced seems and double elbows. Velcro pockets with hidden pockets in the front. For some one who likes to hike and camp I’m in good shape for a long time. The Irony of it was I went into the thrift store to find black and tan shirts to wear with my kilts and hit the jackpot.

Matty, the whole outfit looks wonderful and the idea of being on the trail sounds even better.

After a few kind comments about my beard I figured I show one of my Favorites. This was taken shortly before my two handsome sons presented me with my Silver beaver Award. This is the longest I have grown my beard. The kilt of course is MacLaren Modern, Stillwater Standard. The Sporran was my very first, made for me by some scouts who knew I did not have one.

Very nice pics and those 5.11 shirts you found were a steal! I sit in a car for a living but can get out quite frequently. It's nice to get off your duff and exercise with a good hike now and then.

    Matty,
Thanks for posting that photo. Your beard at that length is phenomenal. Even without the red suit with white fur trim, everyone can recognize Santa Matty.
