My mother found a miniature Clan Scott crest pin (about 1 inch or so), but I don't know if it was at a Games or shopping online. She also found a stick-pin (like one for a cravat) with a similar-sized crest for my father to wear as a lapel pin. (He still doesn't want to wear the tartan, much less a kilt, but will wear the crest. I can't figure that out yet.)

As for what a lady might wear (OP), a sash is probably the most versatile, as others have suggested. My sister has a couple (the Scott Green and the Scott Red) in a poly-cotton, as she's allergic to wool. The sett's a bit smaller, but it's in the same colors.

My little lady picked up a Maple Leaf tartan fully-pleated long skirt by Johnstons of Elgin, on auction for $40, but it will probably be too hot to wear for the Highland Games in June

I would suggest the Finland National tartan. This is not a 'dress' version, even though there is quite a lot of white.

Here's how our family did it with the band Cookeilidh in 2009. The games are tomorrow and Sunday, though, so whatever she feels comfortable in will be fine. I look forward to meeting you in person!
