    A USA Semi-trad in that tartan has been on my list for some time - want to honor a Palatine German branch of the family....fought for England in the Revolution then settled in Quebec after the war. Married into a Loyalist branch of my family tree.

    My eldest son Tom, who is half German and was born in Niedersachsen, says if he were ever to kilt up it would be in one of these. I like how yours is pleated but I've also seen it pleated to sett and that looks grand too. It is a lovely tartan however it's worked... Nice one!

    I was trying to decide on my next kilt. I want a "red" one. I think you may have helped me make up my mind. That is beautiful. And.... my mother was born and raised in Germany.

    Wear it well in good health for many years!

    Also, thanks for posting photos on the first post of the thread rather than being harrassed and cajoled into doing so.
