I suspect that, from the description of the mushroom, it was psilocybin rather than LSD. Just an opinon, of course.

Perhaps. But I only remember Alice partaking from cakes labeled "Eat Me" or vials labeled "Drink Me." I don't remember her eating a mushroom. I have been known to be wrong before though.
