God I love Pride festivals - sooo much a feeling of FREEDOM.
A few years ago at Albuquerque Pride there was a guy who'd fashioned what he called a kilt out of old neckties. He was wearing a belt and had neckties hanging down from the belt all the way around - most colorful.

Certainly a place to show off alternative kilt ideas!
The only London Pride I have been to (back in the 1990s) also had a fair scattering of traditional tartans also.

Hmmm... When I went to one bar a few weeks ago, one guy saw me in my 2nd xkilt, and mentioned he regularly wears one made out of neckties to DJ where he works at another bar. (It apparently was his day off)
