    Hi CMcG,
The sporran was part of a deal I was offered when I purchased my dress sporran. Great folks over there at L&M. Sometimes, they have seconds on their affiliate website.

You wear the kilt well and look great. I grew up around High River, the Cowboy Capital of the world. Did you run into any cowpokes when you were out and about? I would love to hear any reactions... if they even had any.
    Good on you Lucky.

    Thanks Seven,
I have two other local friends who will kilt up with me and go to the local coffee/scotch bar. I have also worn my kilt to church and all together, I think the mood is good. To some I suppose it's a bit of an oddity and at the same time, my over all experience is that the kilt is regarded with respect and appreciation. High River is much more diverse in its population now--roughly 10,000. I really like my town. And for the most part, I think people really like my kilt!

Thanks for the reply Lukey. I haven't been back to High River for many years. That town always was tolerant of almost anyone. Lots of "Characters" from there. Many Chuck wagon drivers and most of the people are the salt of the earth. You amaze me when you say the town is around 10,000 people now. When I was there as a boy it was 684.
I will be travailing from Vancouver to Calgary to see my Mother, 98years old and still tells me what to do. She slips back to Gaelic when I am alone with her. I can understand the drift but have lost the ability to speak it. I never did learn how to write it as we were caned in School if caught talking to one-a-nother on the playground. I have many fond memories of High River and The High Country in the mountains. The history of that place is deep and has impacted all of Alberta.
I will be over there sometimes after August 13 as we are taking my 2 grandsons back to Edmonton and then to Calgary to visit my Mom and sister then to Okotoks to visit my other sister. If you would care to spend an hour or so I would love to meet up with you and maybe even head down to the Local with a few of you friends. Kilted of course.

    Regards
