Recipe For An Interesting Evening
Retail | California, USA |
Female Customer: “Hi there! Where do you keep your ping-pong balls?”
Me: “Right over here.” *walks her over to them*
Customer: “Oh great! Now, where do you sell your Vaseline?”
What the... I'm not at all sure I wanna know, but it sure made me laugh!

In my past I have worked in the hospitality business (like for over 10 years) Much of it on the Graveyard shift. The stories I could tell.
Like the gentleman who locked himself out of his room naked and took the elevator down to the far lobby and somehow convinced a Bell Canada Operator to out him through to the front desk without a quarter. We let him back into his room and told him that if it happened again to pickup the fire phone in the elevator.....the next night he did.

There's a street person in my neighborhood who regularly tells me, "Man, I really like your quilt." I've always smiled, acknowledged him and walked on mildly amused.

I've been looking at the site on and off for a couple hours

For someone who works retail that site is like therapy. After a day of dealing with particularly difficult customers an hour or so of those stories helps me have a better perspective.

My cat. If it's cold outside, that is.
