Is that a pocket where the back lining usually is?
It is a pocket. It is just under the front apron.

B&S do very fine work. They did a "bang-up" job on my Glenaladale kilt. The MapleLeaf tartan is really nice. Looks great!

The more I see of the mapleleaf tartan the more I like it. I do like the addition of the hidden pocket. Enjoy the fine kilt; you wear it well.

Lovely! Acht! And I thought I was over my desire for a maple leaf tartan kilt! Now the thoughts, they circle again!

Looks great! I have a Maple Leaf kilt in the Batley version of the tartan, but I certainly like the Locharron as well. I agonized over my choice and judging by your pictures I think I would have been happy either way.

Beautiful. I like how they matched the thread to the colours of the wool when sewing in the buckles! Lovely kilt! Congrats.

    Re: New Mapleleaf tartan kilt

It is a great kilt and a fascinating pattern. At first I was expecting something blue and white - akin to the page border here. I am desperate for the hockey season to start! I have thought of getting a McLean pattern or Sportkilt's Gridiron. Go Bruins! Back to Back!
