Re: Online Scots RC
I'd maybe be interested in a small front patch and talking bikes. I'd be careful of a backpatch unless you're well acquainted with the dominant MC in your area and you've made your courtesy calls first.

Re: Online Scots RC
Make no mistake, there's a protocol involved. With a two piece patch there's a lesser degree of potential hostility, but it still does exist.
It's something each rider will need to consider, and make no mistake, this will have to be done with respect to the dominant MC in your area.
It'll be a topic of discussion between us.
Myself and another prospect found ourselves in a 81 support bar by mistake once. I turned to him and half jokingly said,
" I don't know how many Angels it'll take to kick my a$$, but I know how many they'll use... ALL of 'em."
Food for thought guys.

Re: Online Scots RC
I think it sounds like a fun idea. I already belong to a few internet based riding clubs. We meet a locally scheduled events and have the occassional "national" event. Some more than others. I have to say I like the Celtic Cruisers idea, but I'm open to suggestions.
Generally single and 2 patch clubs don't have many issues with the local Councils, but I've seen some conflicts when 3 piece patches and rockers were involved.
Haven't posted any pictures of my bikes yet. I know they're downloaded somewhere...............

Re: Online Scots RC
As long as there is no 3rd rocker, you will have no trouble..
I have friends in our Local 81, they don't mind small groups of people with patch and single top rocker, it is when you put the 3rd bottom rocker, that you cause rifts....
I was never one to give my life to a club, so I never did prospect to any...

Ain't necessarily so. Depends where you are and who the dominant is, and some places you have to look out more for the support clubs than the dominant. I'm a member of a national single patch MA and we had significant problems here and there that didn't go away until our state chapters managed to get membership in their local CoC's, not an easy or usual thing to do for an MA. Still hear of goings on in the areas that don't have a CoC.
I hear you about the life. I prospected for a bit until we both discovered I wasn't an MC kinda guy. Left on good terms, but that's another story.

Re: Online Scots RC
Here abouts, the 1% generally dismiss RCs. I have a couple ideas for one and two piece patches which should keep us under the radar.
Unless you ride in an area where the dominant club or CoC is super aggressive we should be ok. Again, each of us knows or should get to know the local bike vibe.
"Celtic Cruisers"..... that's got a ring to it. I dig it.
Anyone else? Post up name ideas. I'm calling a vote for Club name on Saturday, October 1st.
So far we have..

Re: Online Scots RC
There's a Celtic MC in New York, although they don't look like the types who would be bothered by a similar name, and a Celtics MC in Louisiana. Know nothing about them.

"Highland Riders"
Scratch this one. A Polish American RC by this name already exists.
