Re: Unfriending Kilties on Facebook
I had to leave or rather suspend as there doesn't seem to be a way to delete membership of Facebook, a little while ago, it just got too much.
I don't blame you at all wanting to bale out of major parts of it.

Re: Unfriending Kilties on Facebook
I don't know if we are friends....
Nonetheless, I am offended! (Just kidding, but today I was thinking about starting a fbook az group for those of us from here in order to put together a actual get together!)
Anyhow, Cest la vie.
I don't know what all the hub bub is with you guys, for me facebook is much like reality, half of what my friends say is logically incorrect and pointless, or the other half doesn't pertain to me at all.
So, I just kinda roll with the punches.
food for thought. God bless ya Ron on your decision regardless of outcome!

Re: Unfriending Kilties on Facebook
Ron, I cannot remember whether I was your friend or you were mine (!), but I finally got out of Facebook a month or three ago. It was driving me crazy with the mass of inane rubbish which folks were throwing at me - nothing personal, my friend - and it reached the point where I felt I could not believe folks saying who they were! I am so glad I cast it off.
Take care,
Ham.

Re: Unfriending Kilties on Facebook
Thanks Ham, don't think we were or woulda kept ya on. Another thing that baffled me is where all these folks came from. I don't recall giving the okie doakie. But even if I did there was an occasional problem. Every now and then the monster computer at FB would ask me to confirm who I was by identifying pics of my friends. They always seemed to put up pics of "friends" I didn't know so I'd get shut out. And then realized I didn't know who most of the people posting were - sending me game stuff I had no interest in, sending me BS posts that had long been proven false by Snopes.... Heard on the radio there's another upgrade coming that everyone likes....right...sure....think its the merchants that like us. I stll can't figure out how when I order something on line suddenly ads for it pop up on my FB page. Trying to figure out how to get the Budweiser ads off there - in my worst alcoholism I never drank that evil tasting brew.

I was going to look it up for you -- it was a simple desktop application from my recollection... But then I saw this headline today. It kinda makes the app obsolete.

For those of us who aren't actively social, it's nice and quiet on Google+...

I'll second that, I have google+ and I prefer it to Facebook especially after the latest bunch of updates.

Re: Unfriending Kilties on Facebook
Oh! That was horrible!
I needed to upgrade my browser, I had been waiting on a plug in to become available, and many of the menus were missing from Facebook when they changed it. Stuff like removing a wall post. There's a few things I still can't find, but I don't care about the difference in the news feed after that experience.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
