Re: Dresden, Saxony greets the Quaich
The second Destination of the day was the narrow guage Railway which travels from Radebeul via Moritzburg Castle to Radeburg.
Unfortunately this had to be called off because of a Police warning. Football (Soccer) hooligans were expected to converge on Radebeul for a 7th league
match. So here are a few details and Photos. This will certainly interest Cessna152towser !!
The route 16.55 Km long, has 11 stops and 19 Bridges.
The guage is 750 millimeter. Top Speed is 25 km per hour.
Engine 991775 takes 3.6 tons of Coal and 5.8 cubicmeter of Water.
The Company was opened in 1884.

There is a link between the Karl May Museum and the trains. During the Karl May Festival there are camps along the route where Western concerts take place. Bandits wait at the side of the tracks and ambush the train. It takes a small sum to carry on the journey.
This is may last report from Dresden, so see you next in Berlin

Re: Dresden, Saxony greets the Quaich
After moving to Berlin I took time to bring the Book up to date and now the Quaich has been packed and is on its journey to Chas in the UK.

I thank the Rabble for the honour of hosting the Quaich.
