Re: Bridesmaids/Flower Girls with Tartan?
you could do tartan hair bows, tartan ribbons tied around the waists of the girls, or the sash would look nice. Maybe tie tartan ribbons around the flowers?

I'm kilted, of course. She and her 20y.o. Daughter are in white. My under 10 daughters also in white. I would like my daughters to have some tartan to match their Dad.
So, a fly plaid or a sash. What say you all?
In highland dance we call the fly plaid, a plaide (plaidie). If you google for Lilt dress, you'll see one of the accepted models of national dress for female dancers. If you weren't trying to go for the national dress look, I suggest a tartan waist sash with large bow at the back and maybe a tartan hair band.

As has been mentioned, there are various ways of adding the tartan to their outfit. My suggestion is that each one should be different - one sash, one belt, one shawl, one panel, one bodice, one sleeves. Each person would be unique, but would be easily seen to be part of the same whole.

My daughters wore tartan sashes at my wedding.

Yes, I'm aware that I pinned my bride's sash on the wrong shoulder. Had a lot on my mind that day.

Thanks for sharing this picture. You all look fantastic on your wedding day and I really like your two daughters with the tartan sashes. It looks so fantastic and I think I would also love to have such beautiful flowers girls on my wedding. I will check some London florists because I would love to have a similar flower bouquet like the ones your daughters have.
