Re: My new flask wrap!
Wow! Nice work.
Out of what you have there I'd think Laphroag. Get a little smoke outta that tree!

Very nice leather work there. I'll put my vote in for the Laphroaig.

Wonderful work. As for the proper holy water for the christening I would go for Glenfiddich myself. However, you find yourself of being in the enviable position of being able to play a couple rounds of "eany meany miney moe" and having no doubt you will come up with a winner.

Re: My new flask wrap!
It is nice...but how much trouble is it to get the flask out of the leather. I notice the belt loops are sewn on and not snaps. I'd need a quick release on my design!!!
Regarding your Scotch collection...very impressive. I recommend you add a brand called Tomatin. I love their 12 year...much better than Glen Livet or Glen Fiddich. It has the aroma of cherries from the casks that it is aged in...and a very distinctive flavor. I picked it out at a blind tasting session. I buy it for $28 a bottle here in a local grocery store (sometimes $23 on sale).

There's Ardbeg sitting there, and you people are pushing Laphroaig? What's wrong with you?!?!
Oh yeah- and I love the wrap! I love floral carving. I need to learn to do it one of these days, myself. And the belt loops are a great idea.

Re: My new flask wrap!
That is absolutely superb, I definitely need to look into getting one of those as I recently had to simply forgo my wallet to fit a flask into my sporran - but hey, it's all about priorities, right? Also, I'll second the notion for Glenfiddich.
