That's awesome, the Maple Leaf tartan is like camouflage in the Fall!

Re: Autumn Colours
Very nice colors. The tartan is perfect for autumn. And I really like your shoes. They are exactly what I am looking for now that the winter in just around the corner.

Good look, attractive tartan.

I was trying to get pics like that last month in my new Batley 5 yarder from Rocky, but I'd see the best leaves along side the road where I couldn't stop for a shot.
My best pics were taken in mid-Sept, in the kilt's first outings, before and after the Niagara Celtic Festival. No autumn colors, but good background scenery.

I love the Batley's version of the Maple Leaf tartan.

Santa Wally, I have to confess that your own pics were partly responsible for my decision to go ahead and pull the trigger on this one. Thank you!

I pulled the trigger for mine when Remy started his thread, Let the Jones Begin, and Rocky posted an outdoor photo of that kilt adding that, "The Maple Leaf from Batleys is (IMHO) the best looking version of that tartan and is one of my favorite tartans all around (I have it in an 8 yarder)." He followed up with another post that he had enough yardage for another 5 yarder that he might make up for the rack. I jumped on those 5 yards and ordered mine. It is a beautiful tartan and perfectly depicts the fall colors of maple leaves.
Glad I could help you make your decision. Your photos with the fall colors are great. Just wish my plans for a fall colors pic had worked out before I had to head to Florida for my Santa season, no fall colors here.

Nice cross border pictures there - firstly from the Canadian side and then from Goat Island USA!

Good observation. The Canadian photo taken before the Celtic festival on Friday and the Goat Island photo taken on Monday after the festival with the new sweater I bought at the festival. Of course the shoes, hose and bonnet different in the two photos.
To get back to the original topic, the common denominator in each photo, the beautiful fall colors of Batleys Maple Leaf tartan. Love it.

Re: Autumn Colours
Thank you, Dale and Wally, for posting (in Wally’s case, re-posting) these pictures. They certainly show Maple Leaf in appropriate settings.
