The casual look is fine. I like the sweater, kilt look. Very well done.

Love the Heritage of Scotland tartan. I wanted that for my first, but wife suggested black watch as more "safe" than purple. This will be my second kilt though! Looks great!

If you need to wear a sporran and don't want to hurt the kilt, try a leather strap. By the way, looks great!

Congratulations on the new kilt! You look very handsome indeed. I like the loooong Saxon tie, but the sweater even more.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Looking sharp. As was mentioned above, a sporran strap is a good purchase. Much, much less risk of damage and less wear on the kilt. Plus, IMHO, they look better unless you're going formal, and even then, most folks don't really notice.
Nice choice of tartans as well. Kilt on!
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.
