It brings to mind my experiences with beer in a can. Which is to say, not pleasureable.

According to "Whisky Magazine", there are already a couple of distilleries in India that produce whiskey in a resealable bag. Perfect for sneaking in to a football game.

Re: The Star: Scotch lovers to be offered their whisky in a can for $5
I stopped drinking beer from a can years ago, I'm not about to drink scotch from one now. I'm at the moment sipping a wee dram of Glenlivet 12yr old, my very first scotch that I bought a few days ago. I have to say at first I wasnt impressed, but several glasses later I'm starting to taste the subtleties, undertones, etc. I like alot! Now, I'm not gonna ruin this experiance w/ scotch in a can, I now want to upgrade not downgrade. Cheers!

As someone who enjoys sittng watching the sunset with a wee dram, the idea of 'quaffing' whiskey from a can is just ... undescribable!
I'll stick to my sporran flask thanks!

All in all pretty good things
In theory I could see whisky marketed in a box, it wouldn't have the same pana...err style as a bottle. But it would preserve the flavor of the whisky longer.
That said the idea of whisky in a can is unappealing

Does the plastic not impart a difference in taste to the wine? I would think that any sort of flexible plastic would have that effect. Even if it's BPA-free, it's still a newly-produced product of petroleum, and will "outgas" for a while. Especially when in contact with alcohol. I'm asking out of curiosity, as I've never tasted wine from a plastic pouch.
The great thing about glass is that it's stable and inert. There are no chemicals seeping out of it, and no reaction with it.
