Re: World famous Stratford Kilt night
It's coming up this Saturday.
We will have door prizes.
Does Irish Bushmills Coffee Pecan Pie sound okay for dessert?
There will also be a few kegs of our local brew "Stratford Pilsner" to consume. http://www.stratfordbrewing.com/
The Butcher and the Baker supplying the beef. Most of our food will be local, in support of our fine farmers and food vendors.
Then there will be the kilts! I think we will experience the modern to traditional.
Wonderful pubs and great folk!
Yes there will be pictures, and I will post them next week.
Enjoy, and have a safe weekend
Cheers

Last night we had a great evening, 18 people showed up in spite of the weather.

So here are a few photos from the event

The ladies wanted to see a bit of leg

We managed to get a few of us together for a group shot, but then the beer and the food and the conversation, the door prizes and more kilted folk showing up....I didn't have time for more photos.

All in all we had a good time. We started at 7:30 pm and we left around 2:00 am

Och!
That 2:00 a.m. on a Saturday night when I have to be up at 6:30 to prepare for Sunday services is what keeps me at home - I like to be there for the good part of any party, and that's generally after 11:30!

I'm sure somebody would've stayed awake with you until 6:30. We can get into the spirit of things you know....mostly single malts... but the spirits would have definitely added to the conversation. Father Bill we were in the Rectory after all! 50 feet from the nearest church! We would've wheeled you over. OK it was a Baptist church.....just change a few words and nobody will notice...... I certainly wouldn't.... ;)

Excellent response!
I find that without 8 1/2 hours sleep I can't even safely drive from one church to the next of my three... and hung over? I don't think it would play well to the congregation, but thanks so much!
