Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day
American style St Pat's dinner with corned beef cooked with Guinness and cabbage, potatoes, Irish whisky and Guinness. All at home with the kids (green soda for them!) so no driving. Probably will wear my black watch kilt.
We are flanked by St Patrick's day parades 30 minutes east and 20 minutes west, but the rain and two ill-timed girls basketball games mean that we'll be missing both.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to all! Slainte!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
I'm spending the afternoon at work, and the evening with family & friends at the house for some proper St. Patty's festivities

ignore the flatcap, it was just on in passing; the hat to my left is going to work

Having the in-laws over for corned beef, cabbage and mixed root veggies. I will be wearing my Heritage of Ireland PV. Happy St. Patricks Day!

Mixing cultures today: Going to the Purim Follies event (dinner & comedy-skits entertainment) with my lass at the synagogue where I work.
Kilted, since I'm not working.
In a green-based tartan (Douglas Modern), with green garter ties.

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day
Was over at the supermarket this morning, kilted as above, stocking up for the impending blizzard and as I'm walking in a Navajo man in his 30s looks at me and with all sincerity says, "Nice kilt." Kinda makes the day for me to have sincere appreciation instead of them questions.

Which one Colin? I like the Dublin Jack which is not far from the Penninsula hotel. In fact I am wearing my shirt from there for the Irish Sevens team at the moment.

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day
At our local pub. Within 20 mins had a guy yell "guid on ya", got (politely) kilt checked by a lovely young lady, had a guy tell his friend "there's one guy I'm not messing with tonight", had my photo taken and got "cheers'ed" by 3 people. Ah, St Paddy's Day!
