Sounds like some of the ideas are less "informal" than just clowning around. Muted proper dress is never improper in such circumstances.

Having seen the dress that our canine coordinator (an attractive lass, who I've only known to wear jeans), is considering wearing, I could wear a PC, and not steal the show from her.
I'll be sure to take photos. Perhaps getting someone to take one of the two of us, as proof.
