    K. I need some knitting instructions or better yet crochet for making kilt socks. I'm going to corner my wife and insist that she get going on this.

    Thanks for all the responses! The LYS is offer a two at a time toe up class. I was thinking of signing up for that. I like the idea of possibly taking longer but getting both socks done at the same time. as to guage, I bet small needles will make them take seemingly forever. I am more concerned about shaping the heel--this is the part I hear can be the challenge. But, my hope is that in the end I can make my own hose...taking more pride in my overall outfit.

    I am on Ravelry too. I will see about those groups for kilt hose.

    I think a knitting class is the way to go.I learned to knit from a a woman down the road,I go over once a week and have a great time and get a little farther each visit.I knit cuff down with the european style(the hand motions are different) after I figured out the tension it was easy.
