I was thinking of doing it with our X Marks crest badge, but now I am in a quandary as to which colours I should go for.

Well normally you would use livery colors so does this mean we need to design a coat of arms for Xmarks?

You could do the same as DrummerBoy, which although they are also the livery colors of his clan, are of course the colors of the St. Andrews Cross flag. In fact, if you did the same thing, but used a slightly wider blue ribbon than the white, you'd exactly have the flag of Scotland. Perfect for "X marks the Scot."

The badge is from Celtic Studio in BC. Louis does fine custom casting work in-house and is a pleasure to deal with.

No. This one is pewter. I antiqued it by covering all the low spots with acrylic artist color (Mars black) followed by buffing with 4-0 steel wool.
Louis does do fine work in sterling.
