Ah!! Good to see you posting again Robert. Thanks for the tutorial. How large is your plaid?

I was wondering about Robert the other day myself. It's good to see he's well.
As I recall, Jeff (ForresterModern) was going to be quite busy with some work followed by family vacation(s?) this month. He was last on the forum on June 25, just not posting...

Thanks for the update John. I know this is a bit off topic but it does raise the question of whether we should have a welfare thread. It's good to know that both Robert and Jeff are both well. They are both missed.

Wonderful day/blanket plaid, Robert! More often than not, I wear my day plaid(s) in the first version you so elegantly displayed.
Cheers my friend!

In our summers a nice long plaid is handy both for preventing sunburn and warding off hailstones - often on the same afternoon, for putting on top of the lightweight duvet when you wake frozen cold at 3am, and as a dressing gown when you can't quite remember where you left your clothes for the day, but you know they can't be far away.
The last is one of the slightly interesting things about growing old, and possibly something to do with the conservatory - where clean clothes happen - being downstairs at the back of the house and my bed being upstairs and right at the front, making it surprisingly easy to put them down and wander away without them. At least I only lose the clothes I was carrying ....

Robert and Chrystel make me drool over their outfits (that she makes and he wears) every time I see them.
His tutorial on the day plaid was most instructive (and gives me new ideas on how to use tartan!).
When I last saw a Facebook posting by Chrystel, she was working on an outfit in Montgomery tartan. Very classy.
Regards,
Mike

Welcome home, Robert! The tutorial is very useful, but it's 94 in the shade. Don't imagine I'll emulate your mode of dress any time very soon, ;)
