Welcome to the rabble. Tell your wife to prepare to come about. Or in the words of the Borg, Resistance is Futile.
BTW, I'm sure you've figured out that this group LOVES pictures. So, get your kilt on and post photos.

Photos will come. And I'll make sure I wear my Black Watch SWK Standard with my Worf mask the moment it comes. A Kilted Klingon will really go over well with my wife. (Not!) ;)

Welcome, Matt...from Monterey! If you're in the Bay Area, you need to get connected with Panache (Jamie Tanner) or WalkerK (Kent Walker) and get on the NorCal Rabble FB page or email list. It is quite an active group that has many gatherings, outings, and meetups during the year. Everything from pub nights, to a Burns Night Dinner, to meetups at the various highland/Scottish games...and last but not least, kilted outings to the shooting range (no prior experience required). Perhaps with your love of sailing, you could arrange a kilted sailing event! I would love to meet you in person, but unfortunately, I will be moving back to NC in about 3 weeks...so I doubt we will cross paths before then!
At any rate, welcome to the forum!!

Welcome Matt from just down south and the first Capitol of California!
Jeff doesn't lie, the mighty NCR are up to all sorts of kilted events and doings here in the Bay Area. We even have a couple of members that do a bit of sailing themselves.
Welcome!
Cheers
Jamie
