    Personally, I think he (?) is showing a little too much leg, and his (?) pleats are definitely suffering from the "dreaded elephant-basket effect", but all in all a rather stylish antediluvian terrapin.
    I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

    I knew something was odd about that tortoise pic, and I finally figured it out - the pleats are facing the 'wrong' way (unless it's Kingussie pleated).

    There's also what appears to be a crank (think wind-up toy or Jack-in-the-box) at the edge of the pleats - or is that supposed to be the kilt pin?

    I believe that the bottom of the crank is the kilt strap and there is a strand of something coming down across the strap.
