I agree , if one is looking for a good looking universal tartan , the Isle of Skye is surely one that is at the top of the list .

My vote for IOS too,I got mine 2nd hand here on Xmarks and it's my #2 most commented on tartan (as GGGP says Scruffy gets the most).

There really are so many tartans and I'm sure some of our esteemed kilt makers here in the forum can provide a superb service should you choose to order from them.

Is the red hackle available to the public or is it a restricted tartan? Or is it available only as a special weave? I find it a very attractive tartan.
