Wow! It's easy to tell what you are wearing, but what a neat outfit on your wife! I assume it also has some sort of heritage meaning. Can you clue us rabble in on it?

The church looks like some kind of orthodox church, but the priest or minister on the left looks like he doesn't belong there...

    Great photo!

My lovely wife is wearing a Lehenga Choli, an Indian wedding garment. There are no Indian ancestors in either of our family trees, she just chose it because, in her words, "It's my wedding and I'll wear what I want. Plus, I look terrible in white." It was custom made by Utsav , out of Jaipur, India, and it turned out to be quite a bit cheaper than my kilt! Utsav was great to work with, making modifications for modesty (the traditional choli has the midriff exposed), and adjusting the fit based on the dummy garment they sent out.

We got married in St. Mary's, a Romanian Orthdodox church, because our home parish is not big enough to hold all of the guests for the ceremony, never mind the reception (our hall is still under construction). It's funny you should say that the priest on the left looks out of place. That's Fr. Gabriel and St. Mary's is his church. He and his wife are from Romania, which might explain the Roman collar as opposed to the more traditional cassock. The priest on the right is Fr. Justin, our parish priest. He's the one who did the wedding ceremony.

Well, whatever, you two look great. I think it is wonderful your wife chose an Indian wedding garment. It certainly looks great on her, as does the kilt on you. It was Fr. Gabriel's collar that threw me off, but so it goes. Take care and the best to you and your wife!
