It was a bit like Downton meets Glenbogle. I half expected to see Hector MacDonald pop up at any time. There were a few kilts on show, and could it have been because it was filmed at Inverary Castle that they all seemed to be in the Campbell tartan ?
The Kilt is my delight !

I just watched episode 3 today. I really like Maggie Smith as the crotchety Dowager Countess, especially the line in which she asks her son, "Why do you pretend to be so much nicer than the rest of us?"

Phyllis Logan just looks wrong to me... How the mighty have fallen, from Lady Jane Felsham to housekeeper...

I could say the same about Phoebe Nicholls who plays the Marchioness of Flintshire, when you remember her as Cordelia Flyte in the TV adaptation of Brideshead Revisited.

And I can't wait! We wont see this Christmas special here in the States until Christmas 2013, Jack. Well, unless of course you have donated to your local PBS station and they sent you the complete Season 3 on DVD. The Christmas Episode (filmed in Argyllshire) is contained in the special features of the DVD.
Cheers,

Kyle.
When you get to see the Christmas episode, take a close look at the Deer stalking scene(s), there is someone there that you might recognise. Mind you, blink and you will miss it!
