in 2008 a friend invited me to a Highland game in Georgia and I was hooked
Bought my first kilt that same year and wear them as much as I can for the last 5 years.

This years Burn's Supper will mark my second anniversary of wearing kilts. I have gone from 0 to 10 with number 11 on order and I am kilted 2 to 3 time a week.

For about 20 years now, for a good part of that time as much as 4 or 5 days per week.

8 1/2 years now. Despite being exposed to kilts repeatedly at highland games with my grandfather Murdoch I just never thought of wearing one myself. In early 2004 was at the Arizona Ren Faire and saw a guy in a Utilikilt Workman's...just HAD to have one. Got online and ordered up and the addiction was activated. Have gone long periods of time wearing only kilts, and other times mix in bifurcated bottoms. Wear them often now....I bought all these kilts, probably should be wearing them...

A year and a half ago on a self guided bike tour with my girlfriend I bought an off the rack Hecktor Russell kilt. It has been uphill from there to the point where Jennifer asked if I was feeling ok the other day when I had jeans on. Pretty much wear them daily on my walk to work or dress them up when we go out.
Oh and the cats like them too, though when I have go brush the hair off Im not always fond of the cats.

I think I got my first one, (I have six now, excluding my band kilt), in mid-2008.
