He hasn't had it for awhile... I had to do some tweeking... made the pockets removable while I was at it. I now just have to get it back to him.
I made mine back in January and I wear it 2-3 times a week. It just gets better with age.
Honestly I did have to repair a seam on my own. but I now use a heavier weight nylon thread and have a stronger machine for the process which has eliminated the problem.
Last week I went on a motorcycle trip packed the kilt... as in rolled it in a ball in a saddle bag. When I got there unrolled it... bingo... just hangs sweetly.
My wife saw me walking down the street and was amazed at how much it swooshed from side to side.
Have had loads of positive feedback on this unit.
So I hope to get this back to Phil soon so he can put it through the mill and give you his report.
Sorry Jimmy just had to butt in....
cheers
Guy

Thanks guys! You know how I trust the opinions around here when it comes to quality and wear. 8)
Robert, no problem at all! In fact, it's good to see that you're lingering around to keep tabs on the "happenings". These guys are the best "focus group" on kilts that I've ever seen!

He has logged in here too as Kilted Bear (I think) He has three of the leather kilts, Brown, Black, and Green.
I have also made one for a woman it's a mini and she is one happy camper.
Jimmy, I try to check in on all the boards to see what's happening.. get a pulse on what folks like in a kilt and what they don't.
This is a great forum I enjoy it a lot...great bunch of blokes..
Take care

OOOo I'm being talked about (blush)
yup I have three of the little buggers
black(v soft) brown (med soft) and green (not as supple)
All are excellent
I now wear them to work at least twice a week
I wore one leaving the gym last week
As i came out of the changing rooms two girls were coming down the passage to the girls changing room
They turned round and one fell over a plant tub.
i didnt laugh... well not much anyways.
Im now thinking of getting some belts - brown and green methinks
And the blue and burgundy kilts are calling me
Im off to France on Friday and will wear the brown to drive down
Might wear it to pose in Cannes and Monty dahlings.
If I dont melt in the heat that is
