Well, tomorrow is the first consultation with HR, and my boss's boss's boss may be there. I have a lot of respect for him as, like me, he's been an engineer, worked in projects, etc.
A colleague also has hers in the afternoon, but without Mr. W, so I'm taking that as a hopeful that I may be retained...

well, eventually had the meeting - there was no room available and I've been told that out of the 37 selected, I'm one of the ten at risk. I'll get pay in lieu (tax free), and help with my CV.

So sorry. Being an engineer myself I am always at risk due to the tie wearing drones fervor to feed the dragon.
