    There is no specific ratio that I am aware of, as it is a matter of taste, but about one third Crabbies and two thirds whisky would be a place to start and work your way towards a half and half mixture, I should think. We call the drink a Whisky Macdonald(after Colonel MacDonald who is reputed to have invented it), or perhaps more commonly known as, a Whisky Mac..

    Thanks for that info Jock. My late father used to drink a whisky mac. I never knew why it was called that but now I do.
