Greetings. Join us April 27, 2013 rain or shine for the oldest highland games event in Maryland, the Southern Maryland Highland Games, see cssm.org. This year is the 35th annual event. The event is held at Jefferson Patterson Park in Calvert Co. Maryland, see jef-pat.org. It was a pleasure to meet a couple X Marks the Scot forum members last event. If you can make it look for the big lad in the tall feather bonnet and red coat, walk right up and introduce yourself. I should be around the historical area next to the big red barn / pavillion or out walking like last year. Cheerio, Johnnie, 93rd Highlanders 1854-56.
The lads and I will be there.
I might be able to make this one, as I've been told my MD employer wants me up for the last week in April. If this is the case, I would probably be on the field throwing though.
Have fun and throw far. In that order, too. - o1d_dude
Look forward to seeing you all there. Susan and I plan to be there. If our boat is in the water by them we may sail over from the Eastern Shore. There is a wonderful anchorage in St. Leonards Creek just off the Patuxent river with a dock nearby to tie your dingy. A short walk up a path and your in the Park. Nile
I expect to be there. Last year I saw a group in XMarks kilts leaving as we were arriving, but failed to attract their attention. I was wearing a New World Irish kilt (the design from the Frugal Corner competition) and a green caubeen, in case any of you saw me?
Oh, terribly sorry ... Southern Maryland Highland Games at www.cssm.org & Jefferson Patterson Park at www.jef-pat.org. Cheers, Johnnie, 93rd Highlandewrs 1854-57.
