Fiesta is compromised of hundreds of events in and around the San Antonio area. While many of the events can get rowdy, there are quite a few that would warrant/welcome kilt wearing. With that being said, the true multi-cultural event in San Antonio is the Texas Folklife Festival in June. It is a little more civilized than most of the Fiesta events.

By Choice, not by Birth

More like, my wife needs an excuse for me to wear the kilt. She doesn't like the idea of wearing a kilt as casual, everyday clothing. She said I could wear it if there is good reason and it is appropriate. Thus I have been looking for every excuse to wear it, from Tartan Day, to National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day, to National play your Ukulele Day (May 2).
But as luck would have it, as we were looking for things to do this weekend to celebrate our Anniversary, she mentioned going to a Renaissance Fest. I've never been to one and I don't know why. I said I would be wearing my kilt and she said "of course! I expected you to!"

Well I hope you went (or are going today) to Waxahachie and enjoyed yourself. The weather could not be more perfect this weekend.
I was there opening weekend. Glad I went kilted. If you went wearing jeans (or if non-costumed), you were in the minority.

The only photo my wife got of me in my kilt was when she caught me looking at swords.

And please excuse the pale legs. I've been wearing only p@nts for the last 15 years.
