I'm sorry for you and your family's loss. May God bless and comfort each of you. As with Father Bill, I pray that God welcomes Turpin into the heavenly family.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

It is amazing how close one can come to feel even for people one has never met except here on Xmarks. It is indeed a sad loss for us all. May I too offer my sincere sympathy to his family and all who loved him and who will miss him dearly.

Sad news indeed.
I never met Turpin but always regarded him as a friend, here and on Facebook.
Condolences to Turpin's family and to Beverly, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Our mother spent six months on hospice care and her outlook on life improved immeasurably during that time. I heartily recommend it. Turpin only completed radiation therapy about a week ago, so his decision to use hospice care was fairly quick.

Turpin leaves behind a daughter and son, I believe. Could someone close to them convey our heartfelt condolences and appreciation of their father? Thanks.

I am so sorry to hear this, I had no idea. I never had the privilege of meeting Turpin in person but we corresponded via phone and email to collaborate on the fantastic sporrans he made for me, and he was a very nice fellow to work with. I wish I'd had the chance to work with him again, but I'll certainly remember him through the talent and craftsmanship he left behind.

There are tears in my eyes, it is always sad to lose a valued forum member and I echo the sentiments expressed and shall raise a glass to him this evening.

This is such sad news, like many of us I never met Turpin, but grew to know of him through his posts and through examples of his talent. He will be sorely missed.
I send my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends and want them to know that through his friendships on this forum, lights around the world will be dimmed and glasses raised in his honour.
Friends stay in touch on FB simon Taylor-dando
Best regards
