As Chas indicated, you can get them from retailers. Brooks Brothers puts them in their shirts, so they can't be all bad, right? They even sell then in a pack with various colours.

By all means buy yourself a decent set of cuff links and if you want to wear the cloth links more casually, why not?

    I don't, but that's just me.

Thanks guys, what I will probably do is to wear them Firday evening to the games here and then see what the vendors have in their cases. I wont toss them out as I may need them latter on in case of emergency.

I do need to help support the folks that make the rounds to the games

I used to buy all my work shirts from Thomas Pink and Charles Tyrwhitt in London and they both provided the little knots. I kept them but never wore them. Now that I ride my motorbike to work I have to pack my clothes before leaving. A couple of times I forgot cuff links so ended up keeping a selection of the knots at work for just that kind of situation. No one notices them as far as I know and they certainly don't get taken.

By the way, if you get stuck at work without cufflinks you can use a paper clip as an emergency option. Ugly? Yes (though you may be able to color co-ordinate ) but so much better than loose long cuffs.
