A quote from the site.
"All images from the SHPA collection are © copyright and may not be reproduced in any way without permission from the SHPA."
And
"If you find an image you would like to obtain as either a hard-copy digital print or in electronic format via e-mail, take a note of the SHPA catalogue number and go to the prints ordering page."

Hi Steve,
No images were reproduced in this thread. I simply gave the URL links to the SHPA website of the images that I like. Surely, the actual links aren't copyrighted?! I can delete them in my post above if need be.
Cheers,

No Kyle, I did not say anyone did anything wrong.
This site is in the business of selling copies of these photos. They are a business just like a kilt maker.
All I was cautioning our members was that these photos, just like photos on our kilt makers' sites, should not be copied and reused without permission.

Gotcha! Apologies for my inaccurate presumptiveness. No worries! I was actually thinking that your post may have been simply a word of caution to the rabble, in order to effectively prevent members from reproducing any of the images.
Thanks!

We rail and shout when photos are stolen from our kiltmakers and re-used without permission.
All my caution was about was to give the same respect to other businesses. Especially one that is in the business of selling photos.

There's some great photos in there. I especially like how much smart day wear there is, to balance out the uniforms and evening wear. Here's some things I noticed.
A few gents are wearing ghillie brogues with short laces, which I personally prefer to the longer laces, if one is going to wear ghillies at all. Quite a number of these guys weren't wearing visible flashes or garters. I also noticed many of the jackets seemed a bit longer in the body than contemporary ones, which I'm starting to appreciate as a question of proportion. Finally, lots of knees! I didn't look through all of the photos, but of those that I did look at, not one was lower than mid knee (mostly near the top of the knee) and everyone had their hose rolled well down too
Did anything stand out to the rest of you?

Great Pictures , good ideas for ways to dress and pose for pictures we take here , then do them in black and white would be nice.
